Managing files — so what?
In his review of the iPod nano, Nilay Patel basically states that today managing files locally, through a wired connection between the device and the computer, "feels clunky and archaic". For me it's not that big a deal.

Nathan Jurgenson's essay The IRL Fetish is a great analysis of the current online/offline dimension created by the 'deep infiltration of digital information into our lives', but I don't entirely agree with it.
Perhaps the new iPod nano is a weak, timid product, one of the last ramparts of a dying market, and it might look less cool than the model it replaces, but at least it's an improvement in usability.
A lot of people — perhaps a bit too many — have already commented on the new iPhone 5 and the Apple music event of September 12. I thought I'd just share five quick observations.
Contrary to many geeks' opinions, I'm not really sold on the idea of a 7" iPad — or a 7" tablet in general.
